Picnic on 15 January, 2012 at Indira Pryadarshini Park, Ghaziabad

Picnic provides a perfect opportunity to escape from the daily grinds in our busy life. It refreshes the mind and brings all the family and friends together in an informal setting far away from the hustles and bustles of the city. In this effort, Alaknanda Puja Samiti will be arranging a picnic on 15 th January, 2012 where friends and family will participate and make it a remembering event. Our Sports & Outdoor Games Secretary Mr Swapan Basu has been entrusted with the assignment and already started the planning. To finalise the venue, menu and nitty-gritty of the event, the Sports Secretary, President and General Secretary Secretary visited Indira Priyadarshini Park at Ghaziabad, about 35 Kms from Alaknanda – the park has an area of about 60 hectares covered with greens and lying adjacent to the Hindon river thus facilitating the boating facility in the park premises. It  has children rides, cooking place in open area which is permissible by the authority at a cost of Rs 1500 plus entry fee of Rs 10 per head. The area shown to us was suitable for hosting picnic. Modest arrangement for bathroom for ladies and gents are available and will be cleaned by the authority the previous day of the picnic. Members may see

APS is sparing no efforts to make the event enjoyable by all. A nominal participation charge of Rs 200 per head has been fixed and Rs 150 for Children below 10 years of age.

One bus has been arranged that will start from Puja Park at 8.00 A.M. and members are requested to please occupy their seats.
